  • Fri, 19:55: Did a little more Pokemon wandering in DCA before heading into hotel thru back gate. Pokemon has lots of stops, not as many 'Mon as DL
  • Fri, 20:01: Am dressed in my Figment costume and off the the Halloween party.
  • Fri, 20:19: Security lines long as the party crowd starts to arrive--party starts at 7 but can enter on the ticket after 4.

  • Fri, 20:28: Made it in with party wristband and map. Got an hour and a half before special stuff starts. Catching the Disneyland band.

  • Fri, 21:32: Took advantage of this photo op in Town Square.
  • Fri, 21:46: Treat trail in Star Wars exhibits owned early, about 5-6 stops inside. Got some Figment recognition from cast and a guest or two.

  • Fri, 21:59: Another coaster ride: Gadgets Go Coaster. Not in the Space Mtn league. :)
  • Fri, 22:01: Treat trail line. Note the tape on the pavement to make zigzag line. Don't need candy this bad, thanks.
  • Fri, 22:41: Out to Town Square to buy pins, now must take the back diversion to get back to the hub. Probably parade control already, 70 min ahead.
  • Fri, 22:50: Huh, maybe the diversion was crowd control, but also was a treat trail.
  • Fri, 22:51: I need some non-sugar calories, let's go for fat: Plaza Inn fried chicken
  • Fri, 23:17: Found a parade viewing spot across from the Alice-themed restrooms. Area is seated viewing only, and I'm about 5 "rows" back.
  • Fri, 23:17: Headless Horseman should be soon...
  • Fri, 23:37: I really can't photograph the Headless Horseman with my cell phone camera. Horse was walking, incidentally...
  • Sat, 00:16: I liked the parade. It's not supplanting Boo to You as a favorite, but it was good. Dramatic last float w very tall Maleficent dragon.
  • Sat, 00:18: Last float had many of the villains, a few others--Hook, Q of Hearts, Governor--walked before it.
  • Sat, 00:19: A couple of units were similar to Boo to You--ghostly dancers fr Haunted Mansion, grave diggers w shovels, but different choreography.
  • Sat, 00:20: Have found a spot in the crowd in front of Partners statue for fireworks. Must stand and wait. about 20 min before they start.
  • Sat, 01:02: Fireworks are awesome. Last minute shoulder kid in front of me blocked view to the left, but still great.

  • Sat, 01:04: Since in here will ride Big Thunder, always great at night.
  • Sat, 01:28: The Big Thunder explosion finale is great at night. Also some nice views of the Halloween Tree, not so nice of SW construction lights.
  • Sat, 01:29: Found a spot on Main St for the second parade, just behind those on curb. Think that means I stand for the parade, but can sit to wait.
  • Sat, 01:32: Projections on MainSt adding to atmosphere. Nice group in front of me scootched together and gave me some curb space.
  • Sat, 01:34: Better Headless Horseman photo, though still blurry
  • Sat, 01:35: More atmosphere in Rivers of America which were filled with fog and lighting effects.
  • Sat, 02:22: Much better view of parade!
  • Sat, 02:24: More parade
  • Sat, 02:47: Have found a bench in front of the train station to wait out the last 15 min of party, see if they do a Villains Farewell tonight.
  • Sat, 02:53: Can see 2 villains meet areas. Left side swapped Queen of Hearts for Cruella. Group up for Cruella incl 2 kids plus infant as Dalmatians
  • Sat, 02:54: R side was Evil Queen, now Maleficient. All are really into the roles.
  • Sat, 02:56: The Passholder treat bag....or bag treat. Maybe both.
  • Sat, 03:03: No villains farewell--the "party's over, go home" announcement just played. Off to my hotel.
  • Sat, 11:23: Looks like those "be in the park at early opening at 7" aren't happening. Slept in until 7:30--didn't settle down for bed til 2 after party
  • Sat, 11:24: Think I'll poke around DCA this morning since I missed early hour at DL. Breakfast at White Water Snacks at hotel first.
  • Sat, 11:35: Mickey waffles and a side of bacon, eaten on the outside tables with DCA walkway visible through screening greenery…
