  • Fri, 12:13: Time for more caffeine. Walking thru Grizzly Peak area to Starbucks. No interest in riding distorted image Soarin Around the World.
  • Fri, 14:33: Been just wandering, playing PKG, looking for Hidden Mickey pins to trade for.
  • Fri, 14:35: Did a Charizard raid back in Carsland, lots of players around, a fairly quick win. Caught it on first ball, but not great specimen. No TM
  • Fri, 14:40: Pulled a FP for Guardians of the Galaxy but it's for mid afternoon when I'll probably be in my room out of the sun and heat.
  • Fri, 15:08: Going to ride Little Mermaid. It's cool, seated, and has a short line.
  • Fri, 15:46: A little more wandering and it's time for a planned coolth break--lunch at Carthay Circle.
  • Fri, 15:57: Lunch is a tomato based soup with zucchini corn and chicken, and the Carthay Circle signature cheese-stuffed fried… https://t.co/gaPACYYBVu
  • Fri, 18:42: Carthay Circle fried biscuits weren't as decadent as I'd imagined. Very nice, not as greasy as the Shrimp Boat fried biscuits of my youth.
  • Fri, 18:43: A higher level raid started just as I emerged from lunch, back at Paradise Pier. Flareon, not exciting. Still headed back there.
  • Fri, 18:45: Pokmon: got to gym with Flareon raid, no one seemed to be around as it was maybe 10 minutes old. Tried it solo and ran out of time.
  • Fri, 18:47: Pokmon: re-entered the same raid several more times (all on same raid pass) to see if anyone else would show, but no.
  • Fri, 18:48: Headed to room for mid-afternoon chill, collecting iced tea from the Earl of Sandwich (just before exiting Downtown Disney) on the way
  • Fri, 20:18: Headed back out hauling a pin binder, hoping to find trading activity at the GC afternoon session. Alas, found no one--must have canceled it
  • Fri, 20:19: Too late to return to DL Hotel for their scheduled pin session, so will haul the binder w me this evening.
  • Fri, 20:20: Cruised World of Disney--only 1 CM with a lanyard, plus small boards at 2 doors. No luck for me.
  • Fri, 20:21: Into DL for the evening, All American College Band was marching down Main St. to a town square concert. https://t.co/tCORLdwL5u
  • Fri, 21:28: Walked thru the castle to Fantasyland, then took the newly reopened Big Thunder Trail (disrupted by Star Wars construction) to Frontierland
  • Fri, 21:29: Looped back across the hub to The Plaza for my fried chicken fix. https://t.co/UEUSeX1j0x
  • Fri, 22:50: Horse at small world is looking good. https://t.co/D5mrmyuAAf
  • Fri, 23:27: More small world "topiary" https://t.co/3Mae85Q8qM
  • Fri, 23:29: Here's my fireworks strategy: found a seat at a table in Center St. after the parade passes I'll try to move into Main St & closer to castle
  • Fri, 23:30: Meanwhile I can listen to sounds of Center St: piano lesson, barking dog, singer.
  • Fri, 23:31: Also have 3 Pokestops in range, 2 of them lured. I lured one.
  • Fri, 23:53: Baby Pichu is very cute in his special Pokmon Go anniversary cap https://t.co/Y6O3wAKR9l
  • Sat, 00:27: Strategy worked well, am close to the head of Main St . I suspect there will be a shoulder kid just in front of me, but that happens.
  • Sat, 02:01: So the guy I feared would put kid on shoulders instead held her at shoulder height. Great! Then he held his phone u… https://t.co/fpFGFNKcKd
  • Sat, 02:04: He wasn't the only one, of course. Why do we do this? How many such recordings ever get watched? https://t.co/O58aRYZ9nR
  • Sat, 02:06: All distractions aside, "Remember....Dreams Come True" is a great fireworks show.
  • Sat, 02:06: Back in room around 10:30, with an iced decaf latte nightcap.
  • Sat, 10:16: Made it to the Disneyland entrance in time to hear the countdown a minute past 7. Still a long line at Peter Pan when I got here
  • Sat, 10:19: Peter Pan line won't get better til evening, so I wait. Am partly fortified by Starbucks coffee and sandwich consumed as I walked thru DD
  • Sat, 10:37: Off Peter Pan at 7:35, and stepped next door to Mr Toads Wild Ride
  • Sat, 10:42: And thru Mr Toad at 7:40.....much shorter line, and a faster loading ride. Not as good as Peter Pan though!
  • Sat, 11:14: Continuing in Fantasyland: Pinocchio, Dumbo, carousel, Snow White, and Alice in Wonderland. Park is now open to everyone so lines will build
  • Sat, 11:28: Think that was my first DL Dumbo ride. Great way to see lots of details on Fantasyland roof facades
  • Sat, 11:28: And over to Storybook Canal boats. Heat is building too, esp as the sun hits these queues. Don't think I'll ride Casey Jr this trip...
