My tweets

  • Sat, 12:03: Oh, heck, rode it's a small world again too
  • Sat, 12:16: Pokmon: what have they done to egg hatches? Got a Spinarak (2k) and Natu (5k) today. Junk species to me.
  • Sat, 12:28: Left Fantasyland, going to ride Big Thunder Mtn with a 5 min wait. Bonus of a few glimpses of Star Wars construction
  • Sat, 13:10: Rode Pirates with no wait, moderate obnoxiousness fr guy behind me who was videoing & narrating ride. Luckily lost connection after 2nd drop
  • Sat, 13:10: On to Haunted Mansion which was down. Paused to tweet, and it opened. I got in the first group in the stretching room
  • Sat, 13:10: Obnoxious guy then became guide for people behind him: "there's a doughnut--I'll point it out!" Turns on phone flashlight to do this. Joy.
  • Sat, 13:47: Rode Splash Mtn after finding confusing single rider line--you go in the exit, keep going against tide of exiting riders to load area.
  • Sat, 13:48: Only a bit damp from Splash, was in the back seat. Will dry quickly in this heat.
  • Sat, 14:14: Doubled back through Fantasyland for a yellow-egg raid. Rhydon, party of 19 battling, won w 120 seconds to spare. Got no TM again
  • Sat, 14:16: Failed to catch the Rhydon despite golden razzberries and great throws. One TM out of 17 raid wins (most low level tho).
  • Sat, 14:21: Pokmon: am currently defending both the Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean gyms. Won't last, but great coolness factor for now
  • Sat, 14:50: Back to Main St and iced coffee from Starbucks. Is it really only 90 degrees? Dapper Dans came by on the streetcar. https://t.co/CoPB94Hk2v
  • Sat, 15:03: Jungle Cruise--sign said 10 min, actually a walk on. Good skipper.
  • Sat, 16:21: Got in the single rider queue for Indiana Jones, and my luck ran out. Ride went down before I got to the load area. Will wait a few minutes
  • Sat, 16:30: Indiana Jones is a ride where when queue lights AREN'T dim & flickering, ride is down. Nice tht queue is dark & cool, only lacks seating. :)
  • Sat, 16:30: Wait was maybe 10 min, then I got to the load area and onto the ride. And about halfway through....it went down again.
  • Sat, 16:37: A few sec of complete darkness, then emergency exit lights came up. Though we might get walked off the ride, but after a bit they restarted
  • Sat, 16:38: After restart we made a couple of turns with lights on, then ride effects mostly resumed--not the big "boulder rolling at you" though
  • Sat, 16:39: Got to unload, and they offered to let us ride again to get the full set of effects. Everyone accepted.
  • Sat, 16:41: Emerged from all that at Indiana Jones in time to go check in for lunch at Cafe Orleans.
  • Sat, 16:42: Should have insisted on inside table--not enough air stirring outside despite nice view of Rivers of America
  • Sat, 16:53: Ah, weather advisory for heat until 9 PM, high of 94 expected. It's only 92 now....
  • Sat, 17:13: Made a bad choice for Cafe Orleans lunch--steak sandwich apparently only cooked to medium, I'd say this was beyond… https://t.co/cKryOHS3sn
  • Sat, 17:14: Should have asked on the sandwich before ordering. They did comp it, I ate about half before running out of sauce and mushrooms.
  • Sat, 17:19: Must say even before making the food complaint, my server was...brusque. And in a rush. Maybe wanted a larger party at that table?
  • Sat, 17:21: Will go get some beignets since server never asked if I'd like dessert at Cafe Orleans. Easy to remedy that deficiency. :)
  • Sat, 20:38: Catch up time, I quit tweeting perhaps due to overheating. After my beignets I went to the front of the park to catch a Machoke.
  • Sat, 20:39: Didn't want to walk thru DD so want back to monorail....which was down. Moral: always check the status before making that hike.
  • Sat, 20:41: CM at monorail said it was heat--if not cabin temps of 105+ (DL monorail has no a/c) then overheating of motors/mechanical parts
  • Sat, 20:42: So, hiked back thru park and DD, staying in a/c as much as possible. Then turned around and went to GC in hopes of afternoon pin trading
  • Sat, 20:43: GC full of groups of girls in matching satin/sequined/ruffled costumes for a dance competition. However, 3 CMs did show up with lanyards.
  • Sat, 20:46: No other guests were around to trade. I think I found one newer HM among the three. Nice chatting w them anyway...which is much of the fun
  • Sat, 20:47: Back into the heat again, headed to DL Hotel, with a side trek to the DD Pokmon gym for a raid. Turned out to be a Flareon, ugh
  • Sat, 20:48: I battled the Flareon anyway, group of 9 beat it easily and I caught it afterwards. Again no TM in the battle rewards.
  • Sat, 20:50: Finally back at hotel and too late for their pin session, checked the gift shop (nothing much) and bell services (several choices there).
  • Sat, 20:51: I think I've had enough heat and theme park today, will shower then get food close by.
  • Sat, 22:21: I am much revived by a shower and time in a/c. Outside temps have moderated w sun getting low and a breeze.
  • Sat, 22:22: Can now enjoy a seat on the terrace of Trader Sam's, with a mosquito mojito and a pu-pu platter https://t.co/zLMt9UU44w
  • Sun, 10:07: Out of room a bit before 7. Coffee from hotel place, and checked pin board at concierge bell desk one is afternoon it seems
  • Sun, 10:46: DCA is early park today for hotel guests, got in with plenty of time. Headed to Guardians of the Galaxy ride
  • Sun, 10:48: GoG ride is great--I think this theme works better than the Twilight Zone for the actual ride. Yeah, could wish for less screens, but still.
  • Sun, 10:50: I get that the exterior is jarring from Buena Vista St, but oh well. Not so much the purist here. https://t.co/9W0UQHG3vq
  • Sun, 10:53: Poor Figment is in The Collector's collection, in a purple stasis box at least https://t.co/ptGpQPBNcr
  • Sun, 10:56: CM took the timing card from person, asked questions about where they were from (England), said Collector uses to look for more specimens :)
