I could've said no....

When I got home, it looked like a 'nothing happened' day, except that the door was locked differently than I left it so someone at least came by. I decided to punt on Jazzercise (I walked at lunch! Really!), and cooked some veggies and heated leftover chicken for dinner. And started eating...and then someone calls "Hello!" from the garage door.

it was the sheetrock crew, and one with some sort of English skills said they were here to finish. (Finish? I finally decided this meant "do finish work", not "finish up".) I thought fast and then said OK. I really do want the whole thing done as soon as possible, and it was no great inconvenience to me this evening to have 3 or 4 guys spreading mud on the walls in the kitchen (and occasionally in the Weird Room) and conversing in Spanish. After a while, the guy who first spoke to me knocks on the door and asks how late they can stay. "Eight? Nine? Ten? Twelve?" I think he said "twelve" just to watch my facial expression, but I won't swear to it. I said 9, and he replied they'd try for 8 or 8:30. They cleared out at 8:50, not done.

I'm wondering what time they'll show up tomorrow...can't decide if I need to be dressed earlier than usual, or if it will be another evening show. Or if they'll work here at all. As they let themselves in today, I think I'll opt for "dress early" just in case.
